Packing

Thursday 11th December

Once again I woke at 11am but stayed in bed until I had to answer the phone at 11:30.

I went to the King’s Court for some fruit and stayed talking to a couple I had met previously. The wife also has ME/CFS so we talked about issues connected with that.

I met up with friends for lunch before we went our separate ways. I finished off my library book and returned it before packing. I had afternoon tea with more friends and then packed some more. It seems to me that it is all much easier when I follow my usual pattern of packing between afternoon tea and dinner, rather than starting before afternoon tea. Packing expands to fill the time available. I should have rested instead.

Between all of this I also walked around the ship to take more photos!

I ate dinner in the King’s Court and chatted again. I went down to the Queen’s Room shortly after 9pm. Constantino asked me for a rumba and I had a lot of trouble getting my balance. Later Brian asked me for a waltz and again I could not keep my balance. That showed me that there was no point in me staying. I would be better off resting, especially as I needed to get home the next day and then have a dancing lesson.
